Ned pulled me over to the answering machine last night and together we listened to message six. Johanna Alford had called from Saskatoon. The Canadian Quilting Association's national juried show had opened last night and she wanted to inform me that my quilt Memory of Wikwemikong had placed second in the Excellence in Abstract Wall Quilt category. I will be getting a certificate, a ribbon and a cheque in the mail. Well, Yay!

Congratulations Judy! It was even nicer to see this piece in person at the National Juried Show. Because I read your blog, I was able to explain to the people with me about your practice of handstitching for a number of hours each day.
I really enjoyed looking at the stitches on this piece.
