I need solitude yet I long for somebody to understand me and share my thoughts. I can’t stand argument or conflict. I want to be in peace with my surroundings.

The Elm Tree

I grew up on a farm in North Western Ontario, near Fort Frances. I used to say that this area near Fort Frances was the foothills of the prairies as it was quite flat compared to other places in Northern Ontario. This elm tree was visible from our living room window. In fact it was visible for miles as our place was on a slight height of land.
