Judith e Martin

Judy Martin lives and works on Manitoulin Island, Lake Huron, central Canada.  She holds a first class honours degree in Embroidered Textiles from Middlesex University in the UK and maintains a popular blog, Judy’s Journal.
She creates large scale, hand stitched artwork from found and re-purposed cloth.  Her most recent solo exhibition, Mended World, traveled to several public galleries in Canada between 2013-2016.  Her work is featured in Slow Stitch: Mindful and Contemplative Textile Art by Claire Wellesley Smith, published by Batsford in 2015 and Art Quilts International: Abstracts and Geometrics by Martha Sielman, to be published in 2016 by Schiffer.
