your photos are so invitingly tactile, I want to roll around in them!

Thank you.

The velvet is quite difficult to work with. I'm using foundation cloth to stabilize small sections of the stitching and that is helping.

In regard to the Matisse quote: I'm beginning my mornings with stitching and drawing. This is really productive.

Computer stuff comes later in the day.

Love the quote. Made me think too of Vincent cutting his ear ioff. Silence craves us as much as some of us crave It.

The velvet work, so sensual & comforting. I sense tthe earth rhythms and makes me muss the warm silky ears of my little dog.
Powerful.

Love that quote !
For that kind of silence, I go house-sitting ... get a whole lot done when I have no one to talk too ;)

This work looks lovely, soft and comforting.

Amazing quote! This year I am trying out different activities to start the morning with. I haven't found the perfect one for me, but silence is always a good choice.

It reminds me of a French 17th century gown. Beautiful.
