daily urgency

Life is cooking up for me as June approaches. A lot of travel to southern Ontario and over to England in the next three weeks- all very important and happy occasions. This weekend is the bridal shower for Erika in Toronto, the next weekend is the family reunion (Ned's paternal side) in Guelph.
Then we travel to London, England to exhibit and orally defend my graduate work for Middlesex University, and back to Canada for Jay and Erika's wedding, June 23.
Also...until mid July I look forward to having our children and their spouses at the family cottage after the wedding. It's all so exciting and I'm in a whirl.

Have a wonderful June! It's always seemed strange to me that one has to "defend" their theses. Good luck on that.

Congratulations on all the milestones in your family this month. In the midst of the cheers and celebrations, may you be reminded of the gentle peace and quiet joy within that feeds your soul and keeps you going through it all.

You speak so eloquently about your work with the quiet assurance that comes with years of experience & deep thought combined with the sheer wonder & scale of the work in person, the panel will be gobsmacked!
BTW here's the link to Neil Gaiman's address to the University of the Arts Class of 2012 re that "make good art" quote from the other day!

Congratulations to you on your work and graduation; and to the family. A wedding and a graduation in one summer, big emotion pow-wow in one family tent. :)

enjoy the whirlwind
