Quilt backs have a secret beauty. They are a place where the maker can add special touches, like a glimpse of narrow coloured ribbon. 
Or prairie points. 
This quilt entered the Art Gallery of Sudbury's permanent collection on Monday.
We dropped it off on our way to the air port.
