I had been looking forward to the contrasting blues of sky and water here in the Bahamas, and am not disappointed. We are sharing a rental cottage near George Town on Exuma island with our friends, Reg and Jane. I keep pinching myself, I feel so lucky. I've taken over the third bedroom for a studio space, and have laid out my indigo fabrics. I hope to be able to get them into something presentable for that degree course I'm taking. A towel over the top of the closet door serves as a design wall, but 'work' has been slow.
Ned practices casting in preparation for some bone fishing this week. Note the difference in colour between the pool water in the foreground and the Caribbean.

AAHHHHH! Check it out - You are there! with internet! I'm pretty sure that's a bougainvillea outside your window. Have fun.
Love love love Oona et al.
He he, I thought those 'bedspreads' looked far too lovely and unique for a rental cottage! Definitely a bougainvillea, I've got 3 big ones on my side fence. Gorgeous things but nasty thorns!
Have a wonderful relaxing time Judy. Try not to work too hard! We visited the Bahamas about 25 years ago and it was just beautiful.
You lucky thing, this looks so lovely. have a good holiday
I would be so stupefies by the surrounding I wouldn't be able to work at all. Those flowers seem to be leering in the window at your cloth. Soak up some sun and sand for me!
i could use a bit of bahamas right now.
oh how are you going to work with nature calling your name every moment? I am always in conflict in spring and summer with my studio! I do not envy you the delicious agony!
I admire the fact that you can work while on holiday. My holidays are so few and far between that no matter where I am I would rather explore than do anything. I can't even read a book or a magazine for fear of missing out on something.
I do hope you manage to have fun and relax.
I LOVE all of the beautiful blue in this post. Gorgeous. Have fun!!! Hugs and kisses to you and dad.
Lucky!! Dad looks happy.
i have to say I'm jealous! Enjoy the sand between your toes! Looks beautiful!
