recently I have been making white quilts

I looked at three of them last week.

Anything that slows us down is a spiritual practice.

(((Judy))) you are so inspiring, I am such a very slow & awkward stitcher it would take me a lifetime to make a quilt!

I need to make quilts for my mental health. I just need to create.
I do not need, nor does the world, my quilts to change the world.
But making them does help somehow.
These quilts are here. My children and their children are witnesses.
Dedication and love and time are poured into them.
They are a way.

You have put my very thoughts into words as I love hand quilting. Others gasp at me and can’t understand why. Perhaps they don’t have to. I do it for myself. Thank you Judy.

A docent at the Fibre Content show at the Art Gallery of Burlington referred to you, when I was enthusing about the zen of hand-quilting. So I looked up your blog. Nice. Do you know this gentle quote of R.W. Emerson's? "Adopt the pace of Nature. Her secret is patience." I try to live by it. Another breath. Another stitch. :)
