post modern

It is modern to be original at all times.

It is post modern to appropriate from other artists and disciplines and make a new way of seeing

It is modern to look at primitive art for inspiration both for its formal quality and as a way into the spiritual.

It is post modern to treat artists from world cultures as peers.

It is modern to put emphasis on pure form

It is post modern to have narrative and content

It is modern to seek the spiritual in art

It is post modern to seek the inner self and find the spirit within

In this post, I tried to put forward the most positive aspects of both modernism and post modernism. I know I've left a lot out. The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know.
