tweaking

Tweaking - to adjust, fix, make it hang flat. Because the upper half of the third meditation panel was a bit too large, I took out all of the seams and then put them back together, more snugly. Last Thursday, Siska helped to attach a satin cord that will define the outer circle. Tweak - to enhance, to finish
Satin cords went around the inner and outer circles, and across the horizon. Whew. It hangs flat.
completely hand stitched. old tablecloths and silk. I think I like the inside of this piece even more than the outside. Now Precious Water is ready for the quilt frame. Myra is coming tomorrow.

Judy,

I feel so sad for Jude. I have an idea, for I feel quite helpless, for she does so much for us and I would like to do something for her. So what if we all make a circle of lights for WAS and Jude? I lit a candle and put it on my blog. Perhaps we could all do this. As many people visit your blog will you help me spread the light? (please don't mention my blog, for it's for Jude and WAS)

Well, me for one just loves the outside.

So beautiful and peaceful - like a wonderful pool. The inside is fabulous - for another cloth?

if i really think about all the stitches and time of self, your work takes me to silence. in awe.

Very stunning.
I too like seeing the inside, the untrimmed hand-work, the private interior-- (another level of poetry evoked_) what do you do about that? How do you deal with liking the inside too when displaying... isn't it also part of the "dialogue" ?

(you've set me thinking cross disciplines of expression)
thank you.

When you have such a wonderful piece with so much work and time on it, I guess its is difficult to take every new design decission...

It is just stunning. Something forming a big picture as well as so many small details. I would love to look at it in real for hours...!

Thank you for that comment "I would love to look at it in real for hours"

That is the purpose of these pieces - they are meditation panels.

To be looked at and never tired of - for hours.

Thanks for all your support.

They are wonderful meditation panels. You could be mesmerised looking at all of the intricacies of these panels. The millions of stitches, the patterns, the texture of the fabrics. Soothing.
I too love the back...inviting you to look at the bones of the cloth, deep inside.

I never tire of your work on this cloth and it hangs beautifully now.
