sketches

My degree work is starting again, I'm relieved to say. I need to create work for a graduate exhibition next spring. I want to make something monumental. something quiet and simple, that connects to our inner immensity. The last week I've been making sketches for some large hand stitched dyed pieces. The sketches are all ball point pen in a black hardcover journal. the inner poetic Infinity and transience. Two kinds of time.

Viewing your work always leaves me holding my breath for a minute before releasing it in one long slow exhale. Simply exquisite.
