At first I thought I could cut up these vintage handkerchiefs but had to change my plans as it just seemed too disrespectful. 
They have been donated for use in the Circle project and I am laying them out edge to edge on a cotton lawn foundation. 
They are for the upper half of the circle in this design. (the heaven). 
The dotted green lower half of the circle represents the ark. This Thursday we will continue to piece the water. All welcome.Click here to donate to Red Cross relief for the Haiti earthquake.

Whew! I came to my senses.
I just found this today. Oh my God -- and I mean that as a prayer. What a dream come true to work in community on a project of the heart and soul. I want so much to someday tackle a huge scale project. Your project inspires me in so many ways. Thank you for not cutting the old pieces. They deserve to be used whole, fully perfect in the way they were made.
