Today I wrapped and draped and finally stitched sheer fabrics directly onto an armature. Doing this reminded me of how much I used to love sewing my own clothes as a teen. I recalled that my mother had a catalog from France full of fabric swatches come to our farm in North Western Ontario. I thought about the legendary clothes my grandmother made for her three daughters. Sewing garments is a familial tradition.
