Each stitch is a second

Hand stitches hold time and make it visible. The sheer amount of them stand in for the period of time (months) that I have been with this quilt. The repeated touching by my hand is like a caress. Its visible time and visible love.

Calendar

When my children were small I made twelve wall hangings from seasonal fabrics and family snapshots. Our youngest was just one at the time.

December

Heard today in the post office. "If only we would remember to be grateful for what we already have. We are so very lucky."

My Christmas

My Christmas begins when my children begin arriving home. The recital went well. Grace is here.
