My black dress has seen me through a lot of occasions and public speaking events.This outfit (black shift and black flats) is my ‘safe uniform’. I wear it when I have to go out in public and be the centre of attention. I also wear it to family rituals like birthdays, funerals, dinners out.
In my black dress I show respect to the occasion. I am not invisible. I feel confident.
