Isolated for a week on an island with only my husband for company was quite wonderful and I spent some of the time wrapping birch branches and then drawing the results.
I was inspired by Magdalena Abakanowicz who wrapped birch branches in burlap.
Mine are wrapped in bed linens found at the cottage. To his credit, Ned only teased me a little.
