I've documented my art work for over twenty years. Slides were what was asked for, and I took them, or had them taken. I've been organizing them by year, paintings mixed with quilts.
In 1982, when I was a young mom with two babes (two more to arrive later that decade), I read a wonderful interview with Alice Neel in Eleanor Munro's book "Originals: American Women Artists". Remembering that Alice Neel said "you must have the will" helped me so much as I juggled family life with my art over the years.
"I had what it takes to make a good artist: sensitivity and tremendous will power. Hypersensitivity - because in order to be an artist you have to react intensely. And then you must have the will." Alice Neel
