pamphlet

The pamphlet stitch or butterfly stitch is the easiest and one of the most versitile techniques to use in bookbinding. It's used to sew a signature (four sheets of paper, folded in half) into a booklet. Pictured is the basic pamphlet stitch, which uses three holes poked into the spine with an awl. For taller or thicker pamphlets, one can use five or seven holes.

Today's beautiful Finnish word:

ajelehtiva drifting, floating
