 The Alaska family was with us at the old family cottage from August 22 until September 4.

 The two grand boys did a lot of fishing

 They also did a lot of swimming.

and a lot of comic book reading. 

 

April made fresh bread for breakfast every day.

baby quilt

What is the correct size for a baby quilt? The one I made for Everett three years ago is 32 inches by 49 inches, perhaps a little narrow, perhaps a little long. I checked the internet and learned that there is no expected size - it depends on how you plan to use it. Everett dances on his quilt

To the fathers in my family

There are four fathers in my immediate family, and I'd like to tell them how much I appreciate them.

My own dad - for his continued support and constant encouragement over the years.
My brother - who wants the best for his children
My husband - a wonderful father, really very grounded and good for us all
My son in law - the proudest dad I've ever known - busy fixing up a nest for his family in Alaska.
