Such a lovely philosophy. I so often get a little moment of respite when I visit your blog.
I can feel my pulse slowing just looking at these ...
love how these three pictures make me feel the nubbiness of each of those knots
You and Agnes Martin (video interview)..."stop thinking". Breathe. Clearly I need to pay attention! Thank you!
I feel soothed just looking at all those stitches. Like sliding into a hot tub on a moonlit night with a glass of wine in my hand. Ah, bliss.
I like the way the photo of me was altered by the curator of Pop folk textiles. I am interested in how the other artists will be portrayed. We were asked to provide a wise saying and a photo of self wearing glasses.thanks for the comments re: the french knots. They are so slow.xx
How lovely!
Beautiful work! Perfect interpretation of you wearing "glasses". Your insight your vision sharpened by those hands feeling touching holding bodily sight making the inside outside for us to touch your feeling, flesh-- Vision.
would love to run my hands over them ...
French knots sure do take forever. But totally worth it.
"GO SLOW. STOP THINKING.Love the saying and love the photo of you ;)
a french knot, a place to rest, to stop and reflect- lovely work!
