tradition

Some things are constant.
Some things are true.
Some things are traditional.
vintage cotton quilt, hand pieced and quilted, collection of judy martin
Traditions are about time.  They repeat.
Our experience of a tradition is different each time,  yet it is also still the same.
Pictured is a hand stitched quilt that was not made by me.  I found it in an antique store and like to bring it out at Christmas.

Thank you for reading this blog in 2015. Your support means a lot to me.
I wish you happiness as we enter this week of traditions.

  1. Blessings to you too, Judy, and thank you for your work, your encouragement of other artists, and your thoughtful posts. Trimmed my table-top tree today; almost every ornament has a story. May the stories you and yours weave this Christmas be ones of health, joy, tenderness and peace. :-)

  10. I am so in love with the red and white quilt top I recently found in an antique store. Merely gazing upon it brings me such pleasure and peace. And that's what I send to you on the wings of a blown kiss : pleasure and peace . . . and the flavor of contentment only stitching can bring. x
