red leaves

 a grid of rough dots.  reddish velvet in plant dyed linen, stitched with red button thread
 if I added more velvet, these dots might resemble french knots.  or rose buds.

    the organic way the red velvet curls in on itself, for touching, and your associations with the leaves and the mesh of the earth, the enmeshed emotions of comforter (its many meanings) and the hand that binds
