wrapping
it's a natural thing to do
it gives a good feeling when I do it
it orders things
it's rhythmic
my daily work
it's emotional therapy
as I stitch, other things fall into space
the time it takes helps me to be quiet
inner time goes backwards and forwards
time is recycled
Ahhhhhh.....the rhythm of life in the work of our hands. May yours continue to be blessed, Judy.
ReplyDeleteWorking on your stitched journals again...heavenly. I so love these.
ReplyDeleteI so totally agree, stitching is deeply meditative, and excellent therapy - with the bonus that you have something to see for your quiet time.
ReplyDeleteperhaps the need to be centered is how we define ourselves to ourselves...and a place to find ourselves when we get lost. your hands have grace.
ReplyDeleteI like the pace of this... your reflections... there is something crucial about working on a timeless craft, something that can reach back in time...
ReplyDeletei could have written this almost verbatim.
ReplyDeleteone of the best things about our work - when you find a peaceful rhythm - lovely! join us on Off the Wall Friday on my blog if you like!teMemsta 434
