eleven months of obsession

I pinned my daily stitching up today. The walls are nine feet high. The chair gives an idea of scale, the white bar in the image is part of the building. I've been stitching one skein of embroidery floss each day since last July. Not finished yet.

Not to know, but to go on

I was surprised by the colour too. They make a huge statement hanging together like that. Thank you for the lesson in trust - 'not to know, but to go on'. I feel fortified by that.

  3. wow! I'd forgotten this project... No idea you were still sewing on it... It looks amazing once hanged.

Good lesson for me as well. I sometimes feel pressed to know where I'm exactly going to.

  16. As a self-confessed colour-holic, I just adore what you've done here. Do you use this as a type of daily meditative practise? It seems perfect for that.

This project and the never ending mark of time, and I was here, is one of many reasons I admire you so much as an artist. All together on the wall is truly incredible!!!

  21. absolutely stunning work -- abstract art, a trail of threads and fiber -- inspiring to one who keeps stitching bits and fragments with no goal in mind other than to calm the mind and the senses!
