"Once I was beset by anxiety.
I couldn't tell right from left.
I could have cried out with terror at being lost.
But I pushed the fear away by studying the sky,
determining where the moon would come out
where the sun would appear in the morning.
I saw myself in relation to the stars.
I began weeping and knew I was alright."

ReplyDeletePerfect pairimg - Your work, and L.B. quote - Both simple and potent.
ReplyDeletethis conjures a thought from emily dickinson: "snow"
ReplyDeleteIt sifts from leaden sieves,
It powders all the wood,
It fills with alabaster wool
The wrinkles of the road.
I pushed the fear away by studying the sky...Blessings for Epiphany...and thank you.
