I pinned up some works in progress. It's good to be able to stand back and get a long view of them, compare them to each other for visual impact
eggstrordinary :} so powerful in simplicity
ReplyDeletei wish i could stand there and look. and look.
ReplyDeleteI'm awestruck...yes, powerful I think is the right word, and deeply beautiful...such stength
ReplyDeleteI find your work very moving. These are very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey look wonderful!
ReplyDeletei wish i had the space....
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for your nice comments about these pieces. Sometimes I get lost in the stitching and forget about the long view. I absolutely love my studio pin walls - covered with ceiling tiles. They are nine and a half feet high.
ReplyDeleteI learn so much from you! thank you, Goddess of Stitches! Not that I will be able to figure it out! but you inspire me greatly!! mille grazie!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog today and love your work, especially the spirals and circles. Also, the feature of 100 quilts is wonderful, it's fascinating to see how your work has evolved. I've just started some dyeing and hope to do some wax resist soon (in warmer weather!) and your spiral is so inspirational. Keep posting pictures of your work, please! You are a very thoughtful artist, it's so good to see depth and caring, instead of speed & simplicity.
ReplyDeleteCeiling tiles on the wall to pin stuff to? What a good idea. I'll have to remember this one.
ReplyDeleteLove your work!
These look very interesting, I love the stitching and colour and I always think spirals are very significant.
ReplyDeletei am enjoying your blog -- and this morning these pieces really caught my eye -- lOVE the spiral!
