charmeuse morning

I'm laying a spool of polyester thread into a 19 x 45 inch piece of silk charmeuse in preparation for indigo.

  5. A labour of love...it's lovely to see all the stitching you do to achieve your wonderful indigo pieces. I look forwrd to seeing the results of all the stitching after the dyeing.
Can I ask you what sort of indigo dye you use? I am keen to try indigo dyeing.

  6. Can't wait to see what it looks like. I'd like to try this myself. I have a piece of fabric I dyed a pale yellow today. Once I see how yours comes out, I may try stitching it and then overdye it. So many ideas, so little time!

  7. I use pre-reduced indigo dye. I keep a vat going in my studio even in the winter. I am still new at using this kind of dye and love it.

  9. I like how you say "laying a spool of thread into" it sounds so gentle and looks so exciting...I really hope to learn more about dyeing in the next, however long.
