new piece

 cloud of time
Because the Manitoulin Circle Project has taken four years to complete and my colourful stitch journal,  Not to Know but to Go On only covers three years, I am inspired to make an artwork that makes visible one year of time.  Why not?
Like the stitch journal, each day is marked by one complete skein of embroidery floss, but this is not a diary.
This is not a river.
It is a vessel.
Time is marked, second by second, and fills up something certain.
One year.

I love your marks of time - so tangible, yet fluid. And the idea of making something to hold the time is magical. And beautiful.

judy, i anticipate watching this "short" project unfold. i simply can't imagine the courage it takes to begin such long projects. i love this: "Time is marked, second by second, and fills up something certain.
One year."

Thanks Velma.
When you rewrite that sentence, it does sound nice.
It sounds certain.
