spring red

We are having an early spring and the red dogwood is blazing. Seeing it, loving it, remembering early spring paintings I did when the kids were little. Railway Street, 1986, watercolour

judy, when i was pregnant, i began working with red osier after "discovering" it. i made many many baskets. you helped me remember that time. thank you.

Lovely paintings! Red just says "I've arrived", no matter the context, it is one of my favourite colours.
