the blue and the dim and the dark

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,

Enwrought with golden and silver light,

The blue and the dim and the dark cloths

Of night and light and the half-light,

I would spread the cloths under your feet:

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;

I have spread my dreams under your feet;

Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

William Butler Yeats

This encaustic collage is part of an art show at the Little Current library next month. I'm delivering it today.

Oh my, YEATS! Yay! And I would spread silver and gold, and golden light at your feet, were I not poor in word and coin, but send my light filled thought to you, an artist of such sensitivity and craft that appreciation most sincere seems not enough. What a beautiful piece.

Those were exactly the words that came to mind with your "who has seen the wind?" post. I love this tender piece
