holiday

This morning I took a holiday from holiday preparations. I worked. From the Canadian Oxford Dictionary

holiday:
a) a day on which most work, school, and business ceases
b) a religious festival
c) holiday season - the festive period surrounding Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year's

Happy Holidays!
It's amazing what the tiny running stitch adds to a piece of quilting isn't it.

Enjoy your holiday!

Lovely to see your stitching...what is this piece you are working on?

Because I am such a nerd - I had to look up holiday in the Macquarie dictionary too. Australian English has 7 definitions (we like our holidays...) one of which is 'a trip taken for recreation.' Also, according to Macquarie the word 'holiday' can also be used as an adjective or a verb in Australia...

Anyway,
I really love the texture you've created...looks like it was an enjoyable working holiday!
