Maintain a Childlike Wonder

A book for April, made during the week between Christmas and New Years. Advice, encouragement and love for a young artist.

maintain a child like wonder Try frantically, a door slams. It's good to have a general plan for your life and what you want to do yourself to change the world a little bit. The best way to teach my children to live a fulfilling life is not by sacrificing my life, it's through living a fulfilling life myself. Tis a gift to be simple.

It took me many years to work out what is the best gift a mother can give. Generally society hasn't supported mothers and their mothering.
Happy new year and all the best for the new semester.

The book is made in a purchased spiral bound lined paper journal. The text is all old journal entries. (I've been going through old journals and discarding them - there are just so many. )
The pages are all painted and pasted and stitched making them too fat for their binding - but I hope that she'll put it in her book case and open it every now and then like a book of answers. I really enjoyed making it. It was so freeing to make something that did not have to show in public. Something intimate like this was. A gift.
