Le Nouveau Louvre

I've participated in LE NOUVEAU LOUVRE, a fundraiser for La Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario in Sudbury for the last five years. This gallery is devoted to contemporary francophone artists, and is one of the best alternative spaces in Northern Ontario.

I received this email yesterday from the purchasers of the collage I donated to this year's exhibit. (detail pictured) Judith, We are very honored to have purchased one of your works "There's a story trapped inside your mouth" from the GNO Nouveau Louvre just today. The piece is wonderful, and we just wanted to say thanks. Can you tell us what year you created it, and what your inspiration was? Thanks Julie and Robert

I made this collage in 2004. The title is found in a sentence by Jeanette Winterson. "Our personal narratives might be perceived as indiscretion, telling too much, signs of inadequacy in the lack of separation of public and private experience, but there's a story trapped inside your mouth."

The exhibition is up from December 1 to 20, 2007 at 174 Elgin Street, Sudbury or at www.gn-o.org
