I like to remind myself that at the ripe age of 56, Emily Carr began what many consider to be her most powerful work. The sweeping skies and swirling trees of these paintings continue to inspire so many of us. I am visiting Kingston this week and my father and sister recommended that I visit Susan Benjamin at her shop on Wellington Street in my quest for linen thread. Well, THAT was a very rewarding visit as you can see below.
